“Remembering Cold Days” is a book on the changing meanings of 1942 massacre Novi Sad. It answers questions about what we know and do not this specific war crime today and, most all, how different individuals communities have been remembering interpreting events since 1942. also focuses international context – was one hundreds similar crimes that marked World War II as worst conflicts for civilians various political regimes which altered framework these memories interpretations. further looks at series trials related to public debates in Hungary, Yugoslavia elsewhere instigated by popular novel film mid-1960s.
